Eco2Solar installed an Ecotube system at this beautiful house near Northampton in January 2008. This should have been a straightforward installation but the relocating of the cylinder from the airing cupboard to the roof space – as well as converting the hot water system from a traditional vented one to a mains pressure unvented system – proved to be an interesting challenge.
The customer, Mr David Coppock, is a keen environmentalist but who likes to keep on eye on the pennies too. He is very clear about the benefits of renewable energy and sums up better than we can:
“Brilliant! Our solar panel is doing everything we expected of it and more!
Only after a prolonged period of very dull weather have we used the immersion heater to ‘top up’ the hot water supply. Even in August, not the sunniest month of 2008, we found the solar panel performed well.
So far, I’d be hard pressed to find a better tax free rate in a Bank or Building Society!
