Training

Over recent years the STA has been involved in the development and writing of several recognised training courses to provide competency in the installation of solar thermal systems. These courses are available nationwide at a variety of training centres and further details can be found through the links of the certification bodies below.

• BPEC Certification
• Logic Certification
• NICEIC
• e-solar

All of the above courses require a commitment of 3-4 days training at a training centre which will, upon successful assessment, provide certification for all solar thermal installers, guaranteeing a competent level of technical and practical understanding. One of the pre-requisites for membership is that applicants must prove their competency on solar installations – through one of our endorsed courses.

The Solar Trade Association has been working closely with Skills2Learn and other members of the e-solar consortium to produce an interactive ‘e-solar’ course.
