Useful contacts

  • If you are looking for general advice

For general information about solar and storage technologies, as well as advice on bringing down your energy costs, we recommend speaking to the Energy Savings Trust.

  • If you are looking for an installer

Feel free to use our ‘find a member’ tool to find a solar PV, solar thermal, or battery storage installer who is a member of the Solar Trade Association near you. Alternatively, if you are unable to find an installer in your area go to the MCS website for a further database of installers.

If you have a problem with your solar system

If you have any problems with your system, get in touch with your installer to alert them as soon as possible. If they do not resolve the problem, you can get in touch with the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) for technical problems or a consumer body such as RECC or HIES for any other issues. We would also recommend this if your original installer is no longer trading. See our handy resource on systems faults and finding new installers!

Please note: if you have received unsolicited communications from a solar company offering free services or discounted rates we urge you to take caution. Sadly, cases of mis-selling do arise within the solar industry, so we would always suggest you find service providers via the MCS and/or a consumer code such as HIES or RECC.
