PRESS RELEASE: Solar industry welcomes deadline extension for FiT validity period

The Government has announced an extension to the deadline for pre-registered and pre-accredited solar PV installations to mitigate the impact of COVID-19. Eligible projects will now have until 31 March 2021 to be completed. [1]

STA Chief Executive Chris Hewett said: “This is a rational decision that will provide much needed certainty and reassurance to those whose projects have been delayed as a result of the coronavirus crisis.
